Our Before & After School programs offer enrichment and enhanced educational activities for children, ages 6 to 12 years, in a safe environment before and after school.
Annual gifts help us support scholarship programs to boost access to quality Early Learning for all families. The Sunset Live Giving Event - How It Works!
The Live Giving Event is an opportunity for everyone to support SCS by funding some of our most important programs in a whole new way. Attendees at the event will be given “Number Paddles” at the outset of the evening with displays and descriptions of the programs readily available. During the night, everyone will be asked to participate in a live request for donations of varying amounts as we all work to fill a pyramid of gifts and an overall target goal. The event will be easy to follow, fun, and exciting for all participants!
● The selected Programs will be highlighted in the brochure, but will also be displayed for all to see in the event room. We will be looking to raise $1650 for each Program and $4,950 total!
● A Pyramid of Gifts will be displayed at the center of the room and highlighted during the actual event. These boxes represent the 48 gifts ($25-$500) we will be looking for that evening. The following chart represents the gift amounts:
At least~ 3 Gifts of $500
6 Gifts of $250
9 Gifts of $100
12 Gifts of $50
18 Gifts of $25
Funding for Education, Enhancement, and Development (FEED) - This program for Professional Development for faculty and staff helps younger faculty earn their degree in Early Childhood Education and older faculty keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. Our connection with Great Bay Community College allows for course discounts while our FEED monies cover the remainder for many degree related courses.
Seacoast Early Learning Fund (SELF) - Providing scholarships for children from low and middle income families can make all the difference in the lives of children and adults. Kids get the benefits of the finest early childhood and afterschool programs in the region. Parents not only gain peace of mind knowing that their children are coming to a safe school each day, but they can also be freed to hold a job and advance a career.
Arts and Children Together (ACT) - How can a good school be great? Certainly by offering specials involving music, studio arts, science, history, live animals etc. Ensuring enrichment for all SCS children is part of what makes our programs so interesting, attractive, and exciting!
